About

Association for University Business and Economic Research

AUBER is the premier professional organization for regional economics centers across the United States with members from 75+ leading universities and affiliate organizations. We support member organizations that provide communities in nearly every state with applied economic research and data that promotes informed decision-making and strengthens business environments.

Founded in 1947, AUBER’s membership includes economists and researchers in public and private universities who are dedicated to continually improving the quality, effectiveness, and application of research in business, economics, and public policy.

From labor market analyses to economic impact studies, AUBER members engage in a diverse array of applied economic research. Many member organizations maintain state data centers; provide their communities with presentations and economic outlooks; and are regularly quoted by local and national media on economic and business topics.

AUBER offers members a set of expanded opportunities that come from collaborations, education, and networking. Our conferences, held at different universities each year, provide opportunities to learn about cutting edge research and communications strategies.
