AUBER Elects New Board Members and Officers for the 2024-2025 Year

The Association for University Business and Economic Research (AUBER) recognized its newly elected board members and officers in October at its 77th annual fall conference in Boise, Idaho. AUBER is a professional organization of economic research, forecasting, and policy centers at universities and organizations across the United States. The Idaho Policy Institute at Boise State University was the host for the four-day conference in downtown Boise.
Marc Schaffer (St. Norbert College) enters AUBER’s presidential track as vice president for 2024-2025. He previously served two years on the board of directors. His remaining year of board service will be completed by Jenny H. Liu (Portland State University). Members elected to a three-year board term are Mitchel Herian (University of Nebraska Lincoln), Benjamin McKay (Georgia Southern University), and Sarah Quintanar (University of North Texas).

These talented individuals bring diverse perspectives to this 77-year-old organization that will undoubtedly strengthen AUBER’s ability to support and advance economic research across our member institutions.”
Michael J. Hicks (Ball State University) was confirmed for a seventh year as secretary-treasurer. The position has a term limit of 10 years.
Patrick Barkey (University of Montana), Rajeev Dhawan (Georgia State University), and Eric Thompson (University of Nebraska Lincoln) were recognized for their service on the AUBER Board of Directors. Juliette Tennert (University of Utah), past president, also leaves AUBER leadership after her service in the presidential track.
